Systems Thinking Institute returns to Milwaukee
The Systems Thinking Institute is back in Milwaukee this March! Facilitated by the Water’s Foundation, 2018’s theme is: Better Together: Thing Big. Think Bold. Think Systems! This three-day institute will answer questions like “What is systems thinking?” and “How can it be applied to produce positive results in work, life, community and beyond?” Anyone interest in systems thinking and its role in education, community, and business are encouraged to attend; educators, school administrators, students, government and business leaders, community members and more.
Workshops will be held all day Thursday and Friday (15th and 16th), which include several by the Waters Foundation. Milwaukee Succeeds partner Learn Deep will be facilitating a workshop titled “From Systems Thinking to Action,” and two Milwaukee Public Schools educators will be facilitating a session titled “Break Away from Tradition Using Systems Thinking.”
"Terms like continuous improvement and systems thinking are thrown around a great deal. But what exactly does it look like to effectively apply these concepts in the education sector? This institute provides a great, local opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of how schools are applying systems thinking to improving outcomes for kids." says Dave Celata, Deputy Director of Milwaukee Succeeds. He is just one of the attendees from Milwaukee Succeeds who will be participating in the Institute.
